All three and four year olds in England are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare per week at Ofsted registered childcare providers.

However, since September 2017, working parents with three or four year olds could be eligible to claim an additional 15 hours of funded childcare per week, giving them access to 30 hours of funded childcare each week at participating Ofsted registered childcare providers.

To find out if you are eligible and to register for your code, visit https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

If you are eligible, you will be issued with an eligibility code which needs to be passed on to your chosen childcare provider before you can start accessing the 30 hours funded childcare.

You will need to renew this code every three months to continue receiving the 30 hours funded childcare.

The 30 hours funded childcare is provided on a termly basis from 1st January, 1st April and 1stSeptember.

More information on how this scheme is operated by Surrey County Council can be found here –

In addition to the 30 hours funded childcare, you may be eligible for additional help towards the cost of your childcare – (https://www.gov.uk/childcare-calculator) to get an estimate by using the Government Childcare Calculator.
